Brazel Sawmill, 1880s
This sawmill was situated on the western edge of Grand Marais
Bay, and its stacks can be seen in the aerial photo at the
beginning of the Gallery. This area is now a public beach
and small marina. Old logs can still be found in the bottom
of
the bay, though Nature is gradually shoaling it in.
