Coast Guard
Headquarters, 1940
The Coast Guard opened a new headquarters building in 1940,
replacing the old Lifesaving Station. Today, this building
houses
a Ranger Station for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore as well
as a Maritime Museum. The building at the rear is still used as
a residence.
