To the south and east of Grand Marais lies the vast Lake Superior State
Forest, offering unique camping and hiking opportunities for those who like
to get away from it all (but not too far away!) Included in the state forest
are numerous campgrounds, hugging both the shore of Lake Superior and the
quiet inland lakes. Hunting, fishing, biking, hiking, and snowmobiling are
