2012 Season Now Open!

Ready to go fishing? Our first few charters of the season have been very successful, and we're looking forward to another great season. The fish are biting!

- Captain Rod and the Crew

Enjoy a day of fishing or sightseeing on Lake Superior with Captain Rod Lowe. Captain Rod has 35 years of experience fishing out of Grand Marais, working with his father, Retired Captain Jim Lowe.

Climb aboard The Rainbow IV, a well-equipped Penn Yan 255 Intruder, and have fun fishing out on the big lake. We'll even clean the fish for you!

Maximum 4 passengers (6 including Captain and Mate). Minimum age 10 years old, please.

Full and half-day trips available! Fishing equipment and safety vests are provided. You may bring a cooler of drinks and food if you wish. One cooler per party due to limited spage. (No bananas, please! They are bad luck.) Alcoholic beverages are allowed. Consider wearing white socks as they help prevent flies from biting your ankles. Bring your own raingear and a jacket/warm clothing, as the weather on the lake can change quickly. Also bring your own medicine or sea bands if seasickness might be a problem for you.

New to fishing? No problem! Free instructions and advice are always available.
