Coast Guard Station,
1927
This photo shows the Grand Marais Coast Guard Station on the
Fourth of July, 1927. Look closely and you can see the lifesaving
crew
standing at attention. This view was taken from a boat
in the bay,
looking to the north at the buildings. For a good view
from the air,
see the photo on the previous page. The lifesaving station is gone now,
replaced by a more modern structure shown in the next photo.
