*July 4, 2009*	*Annual 4th of July Celebration* - Parade, Games, Contests, Street Dance, and the Fireworks Spectacular at Dusk. A great old-fashioned family fun day, and a great weekend to visit Grand Marais! Historical Society Silent Auction - all sorts of wonderful items will be up for grabs! Proceeds go toward Old Post Office Museum project. The auction will be held inside the newly-renovated Old Post Office on the main street. Donations are welcome! Contact gmhs@gmail.com

*February 20, 2010*	*UP 200 Sled Dog Championship -* help us welcome the mushers and their four-footed teams back to Grand Marais! The teams arrive in the late morning and afternoon, and head back to Marquette in the evening. Join us at the Rec Center for a close-up look.
*June 2010*	*10th Annual Splash-In on the Bay* - Watch as Sea Planes "splash in" on the bay! With aviation games and a steak fry dinner on Saturday. A colorful event promoting Aviation in Grand Marais.

*June 2010*	*Historical Society Yard Sale*- Residents are invited to donate used household goods, clothing, toys, etc. You may drop off your used items at the Edmund T. Warren Park after 9:00am; the sale will be held from 10:00am - 1:00pm. Dollar-a-Bag Sale starting at noon. Come find a bargain!
